HPE ProLiant DL560 Gen10 / Gen11
Four-socket 2U node for high-density consolidation — many cores and large memory per node, fewer nodes overall.
Overview
Azure Local node. The HPE ProLiant DL560 packs up to four Intel Xeon Scalable processors and a large memory capacity into a 2U chassis. For Azure Local it is the density option — when you would rather run a small number of large nodes than a large number of small ones.
Where it fits
Consolidation projects with high VM counts, and large in-memory workloads that need a lot of RAM on a single host. Fewer, bigger nodes can simplify a rack and reduce per-node software costs, at the cost of a larger failure domain — a trade Madatech will walk through with you before sizing. We source the nodes through our HPE channel and run the build.
Key features
How we deploy it
Assess
Total vCPU and memory demand, per-VM sizing, and how node count affects licensing and resilience.
Size and source
Configure against the Azure Local catalogue, order through our HPE channel, stage and burn-in.
Deploy and hand over
Rack, cluster, register to Azure, apply policy and backup, hand over runbooks.
