HPE Alletra dHCI for Azure Local
Disaggregated HCI — HPE Alletra storage plus ProLiant compute, scaled independently, available through HPE GreenLake.
Overview
Azure Local solution. HPE Alletra dHCI takes a disaggregated approach: compute (HPE ProLiant) and storage (HPE Alletra) are separate, and you scale each on its own curve. For Azure Local deployments where storage and compute demand grow at different rates, that avoids buying nodes you only half-use. It can also be consumed as a service through HPE GreenLake.
Where it fits
Environments with a lumpy storage-to-compute ratio โ large media archives, data-heavy applications with modest CPU needs, or the reverse. Also a fit where finance prefers an operating-expense, consumption model over a capital purchase. Madatech designs the split, sources it through our HPE channel or GreenLake, and runs the deployment.
Key features
How we deploy it
Assess
Compute and capacity demand curves, growth, and whether a consumption model fits your budgeting.
Design and source
Size the Alletra storage and ProLiant compute separately; order through our HPE channel or GreenLake.
Deploy and hand over
Stand up storage and compute, cluster, register to Azure, apply policy and backup, hand over runbooks.
